bed canopies

for some reason i have been drawn to bed canopies lately....i think secretly this is an idea i think would be cute in taylor's "big girl" room. but i also love the look of the canopies when they are attached w/ simple hardware directly onto the ceiling...seems like an easy DIY project...maybe one day, i can give it a try...

I love them too, and I'm thinking for Gigi too. I just have visions of her "ripping" down the drapes, you??! Wonder if all these others survived??! Ha!!

Me too, I don't know why they have been on the brain so much. I would love to see it in Taylor's room!

Lovely images! I posted on canopies too last Monday- have always had a soft spot for them, but have been thinking of the canopy much more frequently of late! perfect hideaway bed, drama bed, soothing bed- so many styles all in one!

I love canopy beds! They give such an elegant and ultra finished feel to a room. Also that material...yum!

Lovely photos. I had a canopied bed as a little girl and I loved it -- it was alternately a cave, pirate ship, gyspy caravan....the possibilities were endless!

there is nothing like a canopy bed and the tassels and pink of the last is especially lovely!

I love love love the third and fifth images. I have them saved for when we live in a home with lower ceilings (we live in a loft so the ceilings are 15ft high and there are a lot of pipes and what not in the way). There is just something so sexy about the canopy pooling on the floor!
