i love this light from
simon pearce. it's so simple but elegant and could work in numerous spaces, traditional or contemporary. for those of you that aren't married yet, than you may not be familiar with this company. i was introduced to it three years ago when my husband and i got married. they offer beautiful hand blown glass products and pottery. our "everyday china" is simon pearce's
belmont dinnerware. after viewing the website, i saw that they also offer a beautiful restaurant, glassblower cafe, that reminded me of the one in "Sweet Home Alabama"....you know, the one that the hottie owned....might be a great place to visit if you are ever in vermont.
Thanks Melissa for the following comment!
Hello Shannon,Thank you for a great post! The reason our restaurant reminds you of the one in Sweet Home Alabama is because the "Deep South Glass" store/cafe in that movie was based on our Quechee, Vermont, facility. We actually created many of the glass pieces in the movie, including the lightning sculpture that resembles a tree. We're glad that you appreciate our product as much as we do. Thanks again!

I love Simon Pearce lamps. My all time favorite is the Hartland lamp. I could have a Hartland lamp in every room, they are so beautiful and versatile!
ReplyDeleteI just checked the Simon Pearce site, and they have 'modernized' the lampshades that come with the lamp.
Just found your blog and I'm so happy I did!
ReplyDeleteI love Simon Pearce! My husband and I also have the Belmont dinnerware (in celadon) for our everyday china. We were so excited every time we received a Simon Pearce wedding gift (stratton candle stands, glass bowls, entry vase, and lamps....sigh!) We met the man himself when he did a signing (literally, uses a tool to inscribe his signature on glass pieces) at the Boston store while we watched.
The Quechee, VT store and restaurant are great - I thought the Sweet Home Alabama Deep South Glass looked really familiar but didn't know that SP was actually involved. How cool.
Best,
Louisa
The lamp is just stunning. If only I could get something so fragile to Marrakesh.
