well right now, my door says charleston green and kind of boring....but if i ever move, i hope it says "helloooo" or "welcome to my kick butt house"....that's what i think these doors are saying...i have door envy....door #1, #2, #3 (my personal fav...love the hardware and the color), and #4 (even ruthie's back door makes a statement...my poor back door has no love- just white with dog scratches all over the glass). have a great weekend!
You live in a city of beautiful doors. One of these days, I am doing the robin's egg blue door.
ReplyDeletegorgeous doors!! And Brilliant Asylum is right, you are in a city packed with incredible homes. I bet that's constant inspiration.
ReplyDeleteUgh. Our doors say, "We were slapped here by a builder who didn't give a rat's patootie about design. Please paint us, fix us, replace us - just do SOMETHING!"
ReplyDeleteMy poor back door also receives no love. I have two dogs and they leave lovely paw marks all over. Ruthie's back door is amazing. (of course!)
ReplyDeleteMy front door use to be white, but I got order to painting it black, which I like, but I really wanted pink. My husband wasn't too thrilled with that.
right now my door is a basic chocolate brown. I would love to have one as a stunning as these.
ReplyDeleteI love door #3 too...Miles Redd's door, isn't it? The door knocker (is that what it is called?) is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAn Asian friend once told me that the color of one's door says a lot about you in her culture. Black doors are supposed to be bad, white doors good.
My door says dull boring dirty white. And that is going to change pronto! We will be getting the house painted this Fall. Yippee!
ReplyDeleteI just read the last comments about white doors being good and black bad. Hmmm....I was planning a dark green/black door. Now I will have to think some more.
my front door says "i wish i didn't live in a townhouse that requires my door to be black with brass numbers."
ReplyDeletelove the bright doors!
Technically I have six front doors, half glass, half wood. We use the middle two. They say, "please clean us, we are covered in little people finger prints."
ReplyDeleteI love all of these amazing doors. Especially the turquoise one, I actually used that pic in yesterday's post.
I LOVE the 3rd door down!!! GRORGEOUS
ReplyDeletelove the first one! such a pretty blue!
ReplyDelete-jaithan
what a fun and creative post! I think my door probably says, "help."
ReplyDeleteeeek my doors are begging for a good cleaning, but a paint job would be nice, too!
ReplyDeleteThis post is AMAZING! I am obsessed with beautiful doors. I always photograph a ton of them when we travel. NYC Brownstone, Spanish Colonial, High Gloss Parisian, Beat Up Industrial...I love them all! I hope to make it to Charleston someday to see all the beautiful homes in person. The third picture is incredible. That lantern is amazing.
