it's the small things...

lately, i have become obsessed w/ looking at details...when i get a magazine, a catalog, or am searching the web, my eyes immediately zero in on the details that go into the space. it's amazing how effortless the stylists make it look...in everyday life, it's often a step that is overlooked but if done properly, boy, it can make a room go from nice to fantastic....

I totally agree with you. I love how it all looks so perfectly without it looking like you just went to Pottery Barn and bought a tone of knick knacks. Sometimes it takes time to get all the perfect pieces to style with.

Tay looks oh so cute in her beach wear!

Shannon, it's these details that are my nemesis! I'm usually happy with my furniture placement and fabrics but it's these little pieces that get me every time.

It is the little things here that make me want to light a tiny match and see it all go up in flames. Oh, why oh why do you torment me with the itty bitty details...not that I really mind.

Well I myself am a bit obsessed with stylists right now. What a treat would it be to see a stylists home that hasn't been styled? Now that is one to think about.

By the way, I love your use of bad ass style in your "about me" bio.

I did the very same thing cruising through some of my favorite design books yesterday. It's always fun and inspires new ideas.

I love the small things! But often neglect them in my own home!

The details are so important. It is easy to breeze through magazines without paying attention to them, but I try not to. Great post.
