a simple grosgrain ribbon....

can quickly turn into a beautiful source of inspiration....
some people think they are locked to a paint deck when trying to decide on a color palette for their interior, i think inspiration could be sitting right in front of you....

  5. You don't have to think too hard with ribbon....you're not investing in a new sofa or a room full of drapes. So the colors you gravitate towards are probably a good impulse measure of what colors make you tick... as well as suggestive of great color combinations you might not have thought of. Love how you used ribbons as your "paint palette" for the decor photos.

  12. What great eye-candy. Love all the photos. And I just spent my cupcake budget on satin ribbon at Paper Source. I love the Tiffany-blues, navy, tourqois and pear-green. Lovely....and these pictures now make me want to go back for grosgrain!

  13. Hey Darby- I am also a designer in Charleston and I have enjoyed reading your blog!

Love, love, love the desk in that third image. Yum.

I can also relate to your lack-of-buyer's remorse at the yard sale...I do it all the time and those misses just haunt me! When will I ever learn...
