ever since i saw a post that things that inspire did on bringing the outside in, i have become obsessed with the idea of windows taking the place of upper cabinets in a kitchen. it is just amazing how beautiful it looks to have all of that space open. i am a huge fan of not using upper cabinets and this allows so much light into a space. then i saw this picture of the shower enclosed with window panes and i think it is just genius! so if you are building think windows...and lots of them!

LOVE LOVE LOVE these windows!!!! great post!
ReplyDeleteI just love that our home has lots of windows! My dream would be to be able to leave them open all the time, but alas, we have neighbors too close for comfort... so I'll be content with leaving the back windows open, which show the view of our deep, wooded back yard. Great post!
ReplyDeleteLove all the windows. The darker paint around the panes of glass allow the eye to look out without interruption. So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBTW. I could move into any of the houses pictured and be very happy.
That shower is amazing!
ReplyDeletewho needs cabinets when you can have windows like these...such a dream.

ReplyDeleteOoohhh - I've have that last one tacked up on my bulletin board at work for a year now!! I just LOVE it!!
ReplyDeleteMy jaw dropped when I saw the kitchen that had windows in lieu of walls (third image from the last). I lived in a basement (garden unit - yea right) in London for 5 months and it was so depressing. I hated being at home during the day because it was so dark. Windows are a huge must for any place I live in here on out.
ReplyDeleteLovely post!
Love these! And they're not just any old casement windows -- they are iron/steel. Very lusciously French. Love them! I, too, have downloaded each image.
