every time i see this picture of gisele, i think "that is such a cute picture"...then my thoughts change. i think, seriously, how can she sit in that drawer and the chest not topple over on her? maybe i am jealous b/c i am 33 wks pregnant, and she can actually see her toenails to paint them...or maybe i am slightly bitter b/c i am finding it difficult to open the refrigerator door and not have it hit my belly when i am standing in front of it. who knows, maybe i should just go back to thought #1: that is such a cute picture...and i'm happy that gisele looks amazing in that bra and panty set, sitting in a drawer painting her toenails....
Ha! I can't stand Gisele and I am not pregnant... so it's not just you. I love that little crab in the first pic, so cute!
ReplyDeletei'm jealous..not happy for her..
ReplyDeletesuch a cute picture. I didn't even think of the dresser not toppling over...i guess only a super model can pull that off?
ReplyDeleteAs I was looking at the pictures I thought to myself - Wow, that must be some pretty sturdy furniture. I usually wear a size 6 and I think I'd topple that dresser! Must be nice to have yourself forever documented like that. Very pretty photo's.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it is a good picture, and it's hard not to wonder why the eff don't we look like that? We're good people! We're cute! Then I think, why the hell is she in a drawer? :)
ReplyDeleteIf it's any consolation I suspect the top drawer was weighted. Plus you're gorgeous so no sweat.
ReplyDeleteThis proves that I'm completely out of touch with reality. My first thought when I saw that picture was 'how is Gisele so darn perfect?'. The ridiculousness of her sitting in the drawer, or the posibility of it falling over did not even cross my mind :)
ReplyDeleteI choose to think it's bolted to the wall with those child safety brackets.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that dresser is bolted to the wall, the way all the dressers in my kids rooms are. I dont think my derriere would fit in a drawer, but if it did, you and I too could sit in that drawer without it toppling. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou should get some pictures of her when she was pregnant she was super cute then too and I am sure you are now!
ReplyDeleteYou're totally beautiful! I bet Gisele couldn't put a room together if her life depended on it! I mean that it in the kindest way possibe! Mary Kay Ashe said, "Women don't know how great they really are. They come to us all vogue on the outside and vague on the inside." You're not 'vague' in the slightest, so cheers to that!
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up Shannon! I think we all think its a cute picture until we realize how ridiculous it makes us all feel!
ReplyDeleteI believe that the photo of her painting her toenails was taken first and then cgi'd into the dresser...:)

Ha! That made me crazy with both of my girls.. no one understands how frustrating it is that you can't cut or paint your toe nails! Love the note about your mother in law..xx
ReplyDeleteYou are too funy!I was wondering the same thing. I guess because she weighs next to nothing.
ReplyDeleteSoon you will have a bouncing blue bundle that fits inside that drawer far easier [and cuter] than she does! Besides, prego tummies are the best. Your body is building a priceless treasure.
ReplyDeleteP.S. She's probably airbrushed anyway. ;-)
xoxo
What is more annoying is that she could probably have done that at 33 weeks pregnant too.
ReplyDelete-signed 23 weeks pregnant and bitter
I hear you! I saw Giselle in person once, I was about 12 wks postpartum, and I was raging with jealousy..I think if I was 33 weeks preggers I might have kicked her! (love your blog!!!) Off to check out "the attic" have been meaning to ever since Averill's post!
ReplyDeleteThere is probably a pile of bricks in the top drawer!
ReplyDeleteI SO know how you feel after having gone through two pregnancies in three years. Am done for a while to put it like that.
ReplyDeleteI do have a super chic giveaway that will definitely make you feel better ;)
she is gorgeous and the photo is really cute, but Im sure there is some kind of trick with the chest, it's kind of not possible by gravity laws hahahaha
ReplyDeleteIm sure you are a stunning mom to be!!
It's not right.
ReplyDeleteI swear she is so beautiful - the day I sit in a dresser drawer is the day I have a nervous breakdown though... on second thought, that's the day the DRESSER has a nervous breakdown.
No worries Shannon -- I haven't fit into a drawer since I was probably 33 weeks old! :)
ReplyDeleteWe just have to find that French antique chest big enough to fit us in....
ReplyDeleteHA!
You are too cute, anyway, hope you are soon through it all safely!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I, too, am jealous and I'm not 33 weeks pregnant! Happy Mothers day to you - and don't be jealous I'm sure your pregnant belly is so much more of a blessing than being able to sit in a drawer. And just think, maybe that dresser did topple over on her the second after this picture was taken. Imagine that shot!
ReplyDeleteI've had the same thoughts about that picture of her and the drawer. Like you, I guess I was thinking of what would happen if I tried that trick.
ReplyDeleteActually, I think that you resemble her a lot. I am going to be doing another addition of blogger's who give celebs a run for their money soon and you will have to enter it!!! You are a beautiful person and you know what? Those other drawers are probably filled with weights!
ReplyDeleteyeah .. i'm jealous because giselle looks like that right after she had a baby!!!!! What a cool picture though!
ReplyDeletehaha Yeah its probably photoshopped! I remember feeling the same way when she took all those magazine pics after giving birth and she looked the SAME she credited it to not being a "garbage dump" when she was preggers!
ReplyDeleteThat said your a beautiful unique woman we only want one giselle and one u :)
Hugs!

Shannon, so funny! that's totally how the mind works. Gisele is stunning, I think we all have a little envy of that sometimes;) i can't believe you are in the home stretch here...only a few more weeks to go. i bet you look beautiful! happy mother's day. xoxo
ReplyDeleteit's probably nailed to the wall. You are cute inside and out, so no worries. Plus, I love pregnant tummies.
ReplyDelete.. that is so funny!! but I do know that is the magic of photographs!
ReplyDeleteI'm blessed to have a sweet husband that no matter what size I am he finds me beautiful even if I cannot fit in a drawer LOL!!
If it helps I'm sure that it's Photoshopped and she's really sitting on the floor : ) but she is enviously skinny!!
ReplyDeleteWho knows what is in the top drawer! Maybe it's full of weights or bricks...or both! Either way, I had the same thoughts when I saw the picture. First, "Cute!" Second, "Not fair..." Third, "Hey, how is that even possible?!"
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you look very cute, no matter how pregnant you are! Love the state that you are in! ♥
I'm sure they had a good carpenter bolt that dresser to the wall and reinforce the bottom drawer! :)
ReplyDeleteI got a kick out of this though, thanks for posting! Hang in there :)
I'm going with, that chest is nailed down! .. and who does that anyway, hi yeah, i'll call you back, i'm painting my own toenails in a drawer.
ReplyDeleteOh, the price we women pay - for the bliss of a priceless baby that you will love more than anything in the world. Trust me, I have 3 and each day I love them more and more. I would not trade them for any day in some stinkin drawer painting my toenails looking all glamouros. I think my kids would say, "Hey Mom, what is up, why are you sitting in that drawer all skinny and everything?" Ha Ha Ha
