my daughter's favorite song isn't old mcdonald had a farm or twinkle twinkle little star...it's not hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog from the mickey mouse clubhouse or ring around the rosie. nope, not my 3 yr old. when we get into the car, she strictly wants me to play eminem (or rather M&M) and rihanna love the way you lie.....i am sure her teachers will really appreciate that when she sings it at school.
My daughter loves that song too! I am always a confusing mix of proud and ashamed. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd oh my lord, I want to jump in that tub!
Thats great; when my lil girlie (now just shy of 18) was little. She was onsessed with the movie Grease; everything was dirty dancing, she did not even know what that was.
ReplyDeleteShe just wanted to be like Sandy.
HA ha...
I guess you have to laugh, today she would not be caught dead doing that, so I guess no permanant damage done.
L.
Too cute...
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I bet she sounds adorable singing it!
ReplyDeleteSounds just like my son, Colby. He also loves Airplanes - "wish right now"! by B.O.B. Feat and Paramore. Have a great day! Hope things are calming down a bit..{ya right? two is insane isn't it?}
ReplyDeleteOh how cute! My 5yr old son loves those songs also, he even knows the words. I try to stray away from the radio while in the car, but he thinks my CD's are boring. So, I recently went out and got Justin Bieber so he could listen to that in the car.:)
ReplyDeleteBTW~ I love your blog!
My son (age 5) was a real kick with Pink's "So What". Now he's begging for Kidz Bop 18. ;-)
ReplyDeletehaha this is so funny! Love it! Thanks for the laugh :)
ReplyDeleteI have had Usher's song...Oh My God...playing for two weeks on repeat in my car. "O-O-O Mommy, again!" You gotta love kids :)
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS HILARIOUS!!! because I was just in car and that song came on the radio and my 2.5 year old started singing along!! and she really did ask me to turn it up!!! kids are so funnY!
ReplyDeleteWhat an old soul. My god-daughter use to rock out to Black Eyed Peas when she was about two and it would crack me up whenever I looked at her in her car seat dancing to such tunes. Sure beats Barney!
ReplyDeleteOhhh too cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd that bath - WOW! I just want to sink into it with some bubble bath and a good book!
x
What a cool rock'n 3 y.o you have! I'd be proud as punch... no daggy nursery rhymes for your little one! Love that first image btw (it's my antler obsession coming to the fore!) x
ReplyDeleteSounds like our 3 year olds should be friends! My kid listens to Vampire Weekend and requests on a regular basis in the car that we listen to either Jack Johnson or "party music" aka old school funk. I guess my taste has rubbed off on her.
ReplyDeleteWell I appreciate it! Have you filmed this yet?
ReplyDeletethis is so funny! and 3 years are such a great age for little girls - my niece and the daughter from my best friend are both 3 years old - oh how much I love them....

ReplyDeleteHey Shannon! I am a new follower and can I just say that you have impecable taste! And when I read this, I felt it was necessary to tell you that my two year old is obsessed with Lady Gaga, sings her songs, and wants to be her for Halloween.
