i survived.

warren had a guys trip this past weekend in the mountains (fly fishing/ tailgating/ football game...aka no wife/ no kiddos invited).  i had the kids solo for 4 days....i admire everyone out there who is a single parent.  i learned i am not good alone (anyone who knows me knows that i'm a chicken).  i don't sleep at night b/c i think that robbers and kidnappers are lurking in the neighborhood, i lost my keys while we were on a shopping excursion and taylor looked at me after about 30 minutes of frantically searching and said "mommy, it's okay...don't cry" (i was totally about to cry)...luckily, the nice people at the gap had them.  i was so happy to see warren when he returned last night....i told him i was glad he didn't find a college girl he liked better then me....and then i went to bed at 8:30 and slept sooo good.

Glad you made it! I hate when my husband goes out of town - I also stay up all night thinking of all the ways someone could break into our house. I sleep so much better when he is here!

Shannon, too funny! I am EXACTLY the same way when my husband leaves. I am so worried that someone will break in (I check and double check all the windows, doors, etc.) and I sleep horribly! Some of my friends love it when their husbands leave for a trip (they get a little alone time), but not me!! I'm chicken too!

Love it! I am the same way too...even with the alarm on...I can convince myself that someone is breaking in! Take care, Caroline

Loved this post! I'm also a chicken and hate when my husband is gone past 9:00 p.m.! The whole "college girl" comment made me chuckle. I'm glad you made it through your weekend, Abby

Ha ha! You are not alone! I am so paranoid that people are breaking into the house I sleep on the sofa so I can hear everything going on..... and I usually can't fall asleep until midnight!

Oh, yeah, you've earned one of those Mommy Merit Badges. When Ben is out of town, I feel like some kind of warrior in survival mode.

I love all these pink pictures... they're just so girly and fun. And... I'm so on the same page as you. I am SO uncomfortable staying home alone. But, it sounds like you have the sweetest little girl in the world and precious little baby to keep you company!

I'm totally the same. I never sleep when Mr C is away on business and my friends always laugh at me because i am deadly serious when i say i could not ever split up with him (not that i'd want to!!) because i could not look after the kids on my own! lol. xx

Oh I am exactly the same way about the sleeping when my husband is away (which is almost never). I too think someone is breaking in. I sleep with my phone and triple check each lock. And I toss and turn all night.

so glad you made it through and it does make us appreciate our hubbies doesn't it?
