i have this little 5 month old. he steals my heart and has me tied around his finger (and he knows it). he has this one little catch though, he isn't a fan of going to sleep (my little girl was such a good sleeper)....
i do a lot of running up and down the stairs to put the pacifier back in, to rub his belly, to flip him over when he gets stuck, to turn back on the sound machine. and 9 x's out of 10- i am leaving the room in an army crawl (seriously, on the floor crawling out of the room so he doesn't see me). and every time, i think to myself- are you seriously crawling on the floor right now??!! i attached an action figure so you could get a visual :)

Bahahahaaha. Oh yes, I remember those days. Lilly is a pretty good sleeper though now. Except last night...
ReplyDeleteWhat a funny visual. I hope he turns into a sleeper!
ReplyDeletei finally stopped going in the room to put the paci back in! i just let him cry it out one night and he was cured. however, when i do have to go in there for something, i'm with you on the army crawl. we do NOT make eye contact. i won't even look at him.
ReplyDeleteI have a 6.5 month old, and boy, have I had to do "the crawl" on several occasion, the things we do!
ReplyDeleteThat nursery photo looks so French with the gray and berry...ahh1

ReplyDeletei do feel your pain there! i have the opposite situation where my first son did not like to sleep:) i can't tell you how many times i slithered across the floor so he wouldn't see me!!! oh the things you do!!!

You do what you have to do. Crawling on the floor to get out of the room is included.

I read this earlier today...after I had just crawled out of my daughter's room. Too funny!!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! One of my girls was a terrible sleeper the first few months. Then just around a year she slept through anything. Go figure.

Heehee...what a sweet post! Thanks for bringing a smile to my face and memories to my heart, my little man (now 10) was the exact same and I ended up giving in and would nurse him to sleep and hold him for his nap...not something I recommend to people who aren't lazy like me :)!I watched so much TV, that I haven't watched it in years because now I am totally antsy!
ReplyDeleteBTW...where are the mobiles from? They are fantastic!
I did the army crawl with my son and now as a teenager he doesn't want to wake up! Enjoy that sweet little guy.
ReplyDeletelove the spread of boy clothes. I'm having a boy in April. I love all the ideas I can get.
ReplyDeleteI have a 5 month old also and this is all too familiar! Thanks for making me feel normal and the hilarious post.
ReplyDeleteheeheehee!
ReplyDeleteI burnt out 2 hairdryers and a vacumn cleaner just for a little sleep. Im not surprised at all except to say do whatever you need to do for it to be successful.
