sorry for being MIA...we had a rough weekend. we lost our sweet doggie barron. we got barron right after warren and i got married and moved into our first home, seven and half yrs ago. it is not fun being a grown up and making painful decisions. it is equally not fun to have to tell little taylor that barron is in heaven. we know he's safe and sound and no longer in pain. he will forever be in our hearts and is definitely missed in our little household. we love you "B"....
No-one will ever quite love you like your dog does. I'm sorry for your loss. Love, E
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about B. Thinking of you and your family!

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry, Shannon. Losing a pet is one of the hardest things in life...ever. I dread the day that my babies get older. I'm so sorry.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that :( It's insane how deeply dogs tend to work their way into our hearts. Here's hoping the coming days are brighter for you <3
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your loss. He looks like he was an amazing part of your life.
ReplyDeleteThis breaks my heart! I am so sorry for your loss. A great book that might help Taylor is "When a pet dies" by Fred Rogers aka Mr. Rogers.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to you and your family!
xoxo, Emily
Dolores at Vignette Design just lost her beautiful dog, Dexter, too. I'm so sad for both families. Best wishes.

ReplyDeleteI have a wonderful golden as well...Dreading the day she leaves us. I'm sure that Barron had a great life. He was adorable.

So sorry for you. I just lost my cat and the emptiness is so big and almost surprising. Hugs
ReplyDeleteSo sorry Shannon. I lost one of my pets last Wednesday so I understand how you feel. :(
ReplyDeleteWe lost our Link 2 1/2 years ago. He was our 11 year old Golden that I raised from a 9 week old puppy- my 5th baby. It still hurts when I think of him- he was truly a member of our family- we all loved him and miss him deeply! I found this poem about the time he died (he had cancer) and thought it described him (and so many of our pets) perfectly!
ReplyDelete"To call him a dog hardly seems to do him justice, though inasmuch as he had four legs, a tail, and barked, I admit he was, to all outward appearances. But to those who knew him well, he was a perfect gentleman."
Hermione Gingold
So sorry for your loss!!
So so sorry to hear about your sweet Barron, sniff:(((
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your loss....A few weeks ago my parents had to put down the family pet, she was in so much pain though. Sometimes, you love your pet enough to do what is best for them, as hard as it is.
ReplyDeleteThinking about you!!
Sara

I hope Barron and our bulldog, Reggie, are romping around up there in doggie heaven. Thinking of your family at this really hard time.
ReplyDeleteOh sweet Barron. When I moved to the UK I had to leave my sweet dog Ella behind in the States. She died this past week and I felt like I had to say goodbye all over again. I am so sorry for your loss.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your dog! Losing a pet is so hard! Sending you good thoughts!
ReplyDeleteBless you for loving your dog so much. I have several dogs that are a huge part of my world.
ReplyDeletePlaying catch up on your blog this morning and am so sad to read of Barron's passing! May he rest in peace and may you all find comfort in knowing that you provided him with a wonderful, loving home for his entire life. God bless you all.
ReplyDeleteShannon I am so sorry :( making grown up decisions sometimes just sucks...
ReplyDeleteThat picture of barron looks exactly like my riley who went to heaven in august. It's been a painful 7 months without him so I totally understand and feel what you've been through. Golden Retreivers are the only dogs I've ever had my whole life but unfortunately they don't live very long which totally sucks so bad. I am now just starting to contemplate getting a new puppy hoping that we can start to love another dog again like we did Riley who was the greatest dog, friend, constant and with no conditions companion, etc. If you need a someone I'm here, sending lots of love!
ReplyDeleteI have been obsessed with your blog all morning and pinning EVERYTHING... I know I am late to this post but I had to comment. We just lost our 12 year old golden in December and his name was "B". I posted about the loss.. It's soo painful. Again sorry this is coming a few years late but wanted to say hi.
