getting to see mumford & sons was magical.  they're everything and more to see preform live.  and my eyes might have had a tear or two in them (call me a nerd, i'm ok w/ it).  if i could, i would be at that new orleans show in a skinny second.  if you ever get the chance to see them, do it.  you won't regret it.

One of the best concert experiences ever when they were at the Holiday Bowl. When the music got soft the trees around the Bowl softly rustled and it was as if it was part of the music. Totally magical night. Would love to see them again

I had never heard of them and then last year right after my mom passed I woke up (having fallen asleep with the TV on) to them playing on SNL and vaguely remembered the words to the song in the AM wondering if it had been a dream. My sister clued me into the reality of who they were and I've been a fan ever since. Envious you were able to see them live!

I just happened onto your blog through Pinterest and noticed your comment about Mumford & Sons. We went to their concert in ATL on Tuesday and it was, by far, the best concert I have ever been to! I was especially glad to hear that I wasn't the only one who was moved to tears with their live performance - it was just beyond amazing! As soon as the concert ended I was on my phone looking for the location of their next concert, and if all goes well, I'll be in Kansas next Friday! They may not want a 53 year groupie, but it's too late!

Good morning. Great post, as usual. Where oh where did you come across the photo of the subway tile bathroom w/ dark grout? I'd love to see more pix of that room. Have a great day!

A friend gave me a ticket (WHAT?!?) a few years ago and I saw them in a smaller venue here in Asheville. No seating, just standing around and while waiting for them to start, a mariachi band just starts strolling through the crowd while playing. This is Asheville and weirder things happen all the time but it was actually part of the show. Next to seeing the Gypsy Kings at Chastain Park in Atlanta when I was in college, Mumford and Sons was the most fun I've ever had at a concert-so glad you got to go!
