the colors of the rainbow....

i had never heard of blue star before last week, when i became engrossed in reading a blog about a 257 yr old house renovation by a girl named katy elliot. i grew up in a 100+ yr old house that was constantly being renovated and so the pictures bring back major memories of my parents tackling our house (secretly, i think i would love to do the same).

katy did major research to figure out what kind of gas range to buy for their kitchen comparing all of the top brands viking, wolf, etc. and her pick was blue star, a restaurant grade range that is available for the home. yesterday i received an email from blue star regarding their color selection for the ranges...and i was sold- 190 colors to choose from....now that makes a designer's heart go pitter patter....

  2. I love my blue star! I've had it for 6 months and still love it. Every time I bake or cook everything comes out perfect! Not a single complaint.

  3. Yum! I could be Betty Crocker if I had one of those babies. I'll take the grey.

  5. I love these! I am building a new home and we decided to purchase a stove from the 1950's and paint it butter yellow, but if I hadnt already purchased it, I would totally get one of these stoves. Great find! Oh, and thanks for the link to the old house renovation blog. I am hooked!

  7. I love these! So much more fun than stainless. Does anyone know if Blue Star's prices are any more reasonable than the Lachance ranges (which I've been coveting but can't afford)?
