purple....






when i was young i always reached for the same crayon....purple. it's funny how little girls are all geared towards pink and purple. seeing these rooms, makes me want to add that color back into my life...but maybe in a more grown up way like as an accent paired w/ gray.

    Purple was my fave too, until age 14. Now, it's starting to grow on me again. I like the idea of lavender and grey!

    OH I love all these rooms! When I was a little girl my room was lavender.... the walls, the bed, the curtains, the little table. Probably a little overload but I loved it! Great color!

    I think I was the odd duck as a little girl, I loved green and didn't really like pink until I was an adult. Now with 2 boys and a Mr. in the house I think I could use a little pink!

    Thanks for posting that 2nd picture! I'm working on my daughter's bedroom and that picture is the perfect inspiration. A room like that could really grow with a child.

    Purple is one of my favorite colors! This reminded me of when I was in middle school, and I can't believe my parents let me do this, but we painted my bedroom a bright shade of purple. I loved it at the time! I love the purple bunk bed against the gray wall...it looks great!

    I always wanted pink or purple for my room as a kid but it was never an option because of the horrible red/orange/gold paisley carpeting!
    I'm loving the soft, muted purples with grey. :)

    As a little girl, I too went for the pinks and purples. Now I love black and white and neutrals but still have a special place for purple. I love these photos!

    I haven't outgrown it - It's stuck with me since I was 5 or younger. I always incorporate some of the color (or a lot) in my home. It just makes me happy.

    I'm right there with you. I loved purple when I was little and then dropped it like a bad habit. In the last year I've noticed the color sneaking into my picture files. I'm even thinking about adding it to our nursery (if we have a girl:). Thanks for the 'purple' inspiration.

    I have in my dinning room one wall that is the color purple and then the rest of all the walls are white.
