the vintage suitcase...

there is something about the aesthetics of an old suitcase: the worn leather, the engraved initials, the story, the travels...it can bring an automatic interest into a room! i personally love ones w/ stripes; and stacking one on top of another always makes a great statement!

I love vintage suitcases as well. I like knowing that a piece has character and a history to it. I don't have any in my home, but I would love to get my hands on some soon.

Love the second image! They look perfect together. I actually have an Aunt who was friends with Bing Crosby's wife and when Bing passed away, his wife gave my aunt one of his suitcases with his initials on it. Now my parents have it in their attic. There is a rumor that he was carrying it in one of his movies! I think I might have to rummage through my parents attic and um *borrow* this one!

One of my mom's friends found an entire set of vintage Louis Vuitton luggage in the attic of an old home that she bought in Summerville years and years ago. Courtney Cox Arquette bought them from her!
